I will share my HR experience and skills in the home care industry to strengthen Water Tower Nursing’s personnel compliance, employee relations, and company culture. I will assist the Water Town Nursing team in recruiting additional compassionate and talented colleagues, and serve as a guide for HR matters.
My grandfather had his leg surgically removed many years ago. He was a farmer and loved to go country line dancing with his wife on the weekends. He lives in a very small community that does not have access to quality home care. This is one reason that his recovery did not go as well as planned. Today, he cannot walk more than a few yards and is no longer able to enjoy his work or hobbies. I had the privilege to care for his during periods of his recovery and witnessed his frustrations. This is one of the many reasons that I value home care. I believe that every person who is medically-able should have the assistance needed to age or recover in the comfort of their home.
I have not had the opportunity to serve as a caregiver for someone beyond assisting my grandparents and occasionally visiting clients with my prior employer. I have hired many caregivers and witnessed developed their careers. It is very rewarding to watch a new caregiver develop customer service skills and establish rapport with clients.
